THE PROJECT
- Project Summary
In 2008, ARMATEK Spanish Group specialized in steel manufacturing for construction created a company in Algeria (Sarl ARMATEK Algeria) whose activity is steel shaping and manufacturing. ARMATEK Group is present in several Latin American countries (Panama, Mexico, Argentina).
The activity began in 2010 by the installation of a Unit in Blida with some machines for steel shaping and manufacturing.
Market opportunities led ARMATEK Group (ERSI Group named now) to look for a partner for developing business. In July 2015, the Group created a joint-stock company called "Armatures Techniques Algérie (ATA Spa) whose capital is 51% owned by ASICOM and 49% by the ERSI group.
ERSI Group contribution in kind consisted of equipment that was installed in Madrid factory.
The activity started in 2016 and all the equipment operation is planned for the beginning of 2018.
The company is now a supplier of shaped steels and armatures for several important projects as the Algiers metro. It employs about sixty agents and the workshops are in Blida.
