  • Project Summary

Initially the project consisted in realizing a Hotel by Sarl Société Nord-Africaine.
In 2006, works started including essentially terracing but they were interrupted due to the lack of financial resources.
In 2012, the promoter contacted ASICOM for a partnership by creating City Mall Company. They took into account the fact that the total area is about 50,000 m² and decided to realize a Commercial Center in addition to the Hôtel.
In 2013, the company launched a national and international architectural competition. The retained project was the one of the Portuguese consulting Office called 'SOPSEC'.

After having regularized the administrative situation and obtaining the required authorizations the works started in June 2014 (terracing/700,000 m3 done).
The project will be realized in two phases, the first one concerns the commercial center and the second one concerns the Hotel which is actually interrupted because of the local Hotel market development and the lack of financial resources.



  • Project Content 

The project is located outside the Western City of Constantine (Algiers road) on an open site with direct access by the national road. There is a small forest on the Northern side.

The project is composed of a single building of 5 floors for a total built floor area of 39.000 m² distributed as follows:

  • Car Park with two levels for 600 places;
  • Hypermarket of 5.300 m²;
  • Shopping spaces on a ground floor of 5.000 m²;
  • Restauration spaces of 800 m² and leisure of 1.000 m².

The works started in the second half of 2014 and their completion is scheduled at the end of 2019.
